September 26, 2026 - The CSM family is growing day by day. This week, we are pleased to introduce Maude Bourassa, an international Quebec athlete who is joining us this year to promote sport, family, and the role of women in organizing a major event such as the Marathon. She would also like to share a few words with you:

“Hello to the entire CSM community!” I’m thrilled to be joining you this year as the spokesperson for the Canadian Ski Marathon!
Contrary to what some might think, I have never actually taken part in the Marathon, or even in one of its variations. Some people describe me as an athlete, others as an educator, but above all, I am a woman in my forties and the mother of a 22-month-old little girl, trying every day to balance (as best I can) my professional, personal, and family life.
I’ve been an active sports enthusiast since my thirties, and I took up cross-country skiing during the pandemic, like many of us did. This sport quickly took on a very special place in my life: both for the serenity of outings in the forest and the physical challenge it represents, as well as for the joy of teaching and sharing this passion with beginner and experienced cross-country skiers alike as a CANSI instructor.
It is this passion for sport as a source of balance (and sometimes as an excuse to disconnect from everyday life) that I want to share with you throughout the season.
I look forward to seeing you out on the trails and taking on this wonderful challenge together!
Maude Bourassa
