December 21, 2025 - (Brillion, WI) The USA’s Eliot Soderholm (Paul Smiths/New Hampshire) and Jackie Hering from Cottage Grove, Wisconsin claimed the 10K titles at the World Championship Snowshoe Races presented by the Nicolet Bank at Ariens Nordic Center on Dec. 20.

Soderholm won the men’s 10km race with a 3-min margin over Canada’s Julien Pinsonneault from Saint-Hyacinthe, Que. in second, followed by Andrew Allen from Saint George, Utah in third. At last year’s Snowshoe Worlds Soderholm won the Junior Men’s title.

The women’s competition saw Jackie Hering from Cottage Grove, Wisconsin take the victory over Michigan’s Kaitlyn Vanias by just over two minutes with Olivia Dietzel from Dickeyville, Wisconsin in third.
It was the second victory in as many days for both Soderholm and Hering who both won the U.S. 5K Snowshoe Championships on Friday. For their World Championship 10K Snowshoe Race victories the winners each took home $3,000 in prize money.
The weekend of snowshoe racing wraps up on Dec. 21 with the Santa Ski Race, a fun, festive race where participants don Santa costumes and ski on the center’s groomed trails followed by the 5K Open Snowshoe Championship Race.
