December 19, 2025 - (Brillion, WI) The winners of the U.S. 5K Snowshoe Championships were crowned today at the Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion, WI. Defending champion, Eliot Soderholm (Paul Smiths), won the men’s race with a comfortable margin over Andrew Allen in second while Erik Barkhaus was close behind in third.
The top woman was Jackie Hering, who claimed a trifecta of consecutive championships victories, with a 2.5-minute lead over Laurel Moyer in second followed by Olivia Dietzel in third. The winners each took home $1,000 in prize money.
The racing continues on Dec. 20 with the World Championship 10K Snowshoe Race followed the Flower Ceremony and then the Awards Banquet with live entertainment, food, drinks, and special awards presentation.
