December 3, 2024 - The campaign to raise the money needed to expand and renew the day lodge at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre is in full swing and donations from the Nordiq skiing community have been coming in steadily since the campaign launched in late October.

This year’s Giving Tuesday is your opportunity to keep the momentum going.

BC Parks has committed $1,400,000 to project construction and SLNC is taking the lead to raise the rest. In order to secure additional government grants and corporate donations, we need to show that the cross-country ski and snowshoe community is on board.

During the October 24 kick-off event, we announced that an anonymous donor will match any donations from the local community up to a value of $40,000, until February 14, 2025. We have received a tremendous response and have already surpassed $30,000!
