January 29, 2025 - Now in its third season the Scotts Cobble Ski Area, run by the Delaney family, serves the Lake Placid cross-country skiing community with a 20km network that includes 10km of lit trail, a 5km Jack Rabbit Trail connection to the village, and a heated ski lodge with restrooms, lockers and showers.

The ski lodge’s upper level offers a full restaurant, plus there’s a ski shop that offers lessons, tours, wax room, ski school, waxing clinics, and a rental centre for the adjacent Scotts Cobble Hill that features gladed downhill runs.

Returning this coming season is the 6-event Adirondack Tour de Ski, running from December to March. Check out the Demo Center for top brands and programs in alpine touring and backcountry skiing, including xc ski and fatbike demo days, ski bonfires and more.
The Scotts Cobble Ski Area dates back to 1938 and is free for local residents.
