November 2, 2024 - The last couple of ski seasons have yielded Olympic medals, World Championships, and World Junior Championship medals for U.S. skiing. Right now, there’s more skiers in more places competing than ever before. At the National Nordic Foundation, we’re committed to making this success sustainable, and we need your help. Our largest annual fundraiser, the Drive for 25, is happening this year from Monday, November 25th – Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, and we’re counting on you to spread the word in your local ski community.
With each athlete that has represented U.S. skiing at our sport’s highest level, there’s an individual journey that requires the passion, drive, and support of all of those around them who love Nordic skiing. As our ski community grows in the United States, so too does the possibility that the next Olympian and World Champion could come from any trail system, and any locale. NNF acts as an extension of the best characteristics of local ski communities across the country: here to make sure that any athlete from any background can reach their full potential.
We were founded with the idea that if a community as dedicated as the one involved in our sport came together, we could create a program capable of competing with any country on Earth. Thanks to all of you, we’re doing that, and with your help we can continue to build off of our successes as we head towards another season with the Drive to 25.
