Skiers Awareness Notice
Are you participating in the 50km and/or 27km freestyle races in the beautiful Gatineau Park? This message is for you:

This exceptional site is a natural jewel that we have the privilege of using for our competition. In order to preserve this unique environment and ensure harmonious cohabitation with other park users, we ask you to respect the following rules:

1. Respect the flora and fauna
Stay on the marked paths to avoid erosion and protect the fragile vegetation.
Do not disturb local wildlife: observe animals from a distance and avoid making excessive noise.

2. Waste management
Make sure you dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided.
Use reusable bottles or cans to reduce the use of disposable plastic.
If you find rubbish lying around, don’t hesitate to pick it up to help keep the site clean.

3. Co-existence with other users
Share the trails with respect for other sports enthusiasts, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Adopt a courteous and respectful attitude at all times.
Slow down in busy sections and signal your presence to other users if necessary.

4. Safety and responsibility
Respect the safety instructions and park regulations.
In the event of an incident or accident, inform a volunteer or a member of the organization.
Be aware of the weather conditions and equip yourself accordingly.

By following these guidelines, you will be helping to protect Gatineau Park and ensure the long-term success of this event.
