July 17, 2024 - (Gatineau, Que.) The Gatineau Loppet Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Jérôme Poulin as General Manager of the organization. Poulin is a familiar face in the world of the Gatineau Loppet and cross-country skiing in the Outaouais.
He has played a number of important roles for the Gatineau Loppet, including co-stage manager, assistant of the Chief of Competition and assistant line producer (for MPI Sports). Mr. Poulin has also been heavily involved with Club Skinouk and major events such as the Eastern Canadian Championships and Ski-tour Canada. He is also a cross-country ski official and instructor.
“His undeniable passion for cross-country skiing and his experience in organizing sporting events will be major assets for the Gatineau Loppet and its events,” says President Philippe Lebel. “Jérôme will undoubtedly be able to team up with volunteers and partners to take the organization to new heights.”
Jérôme Poulin, for his part, says he takes on this new challenge with great enthusiasm. “The Gatineau Loppet has been running through my veins for a long time,” said Poulin.
“Taking on the role of General Manager of the organization that organizes one of the world’s most renowned cross-country skiing events is a most stimulating challenge, and an immense privilege,” he added. “I look forward to teaming up with the passionate volunteers to continue to offer the ultimate experience to participants.”
