October 6, 2022 - Early season pass purchases make a big difference for JacksonXC – when you buy your pass now you let us make the most of your pass purchase through preseason preparation. Season passes for next year are on sale now here.

Volunteer and Pre-Season Trail Time Opportunities listed below… it will be fun to reconnect before the snow falls!

Jackson Village/Wentworth Pop-up Art Show

Saturday, Oct. 8, and Sunday, Oct. 9
Wentworth Inn Tent
10 am to 5 pm, free and open to the public.
20 local and nationally recognized artists.
Jackson Historical Society Open House
Friday, Oct. 14, 5 pm to 7 pm
Enjoy a catered charcuterie board and sip cider with the Board of the Jackson Historical Society. Art sale and new treasures to view. Event is free, donations welcome.

Jackson XC Ski Swap
Saturday, Nov. 5. 9 am to 1 pm

Time to check out your ski gear. What is missing? What should find a new home?
Consignments will be welcome starting in mid-October. We are working on a new online-registration form so your gear will be all itemized before you get here. Give us another week to get that started

Fall Activities:

Weekday Morning Nordic Walking Sessions-
Time: 8 am start
Dates: Tuesday, Oct. 11; Mondays, Oct. 17 & 24
Meet at the Valley Cross Road Parking Lot.
We will start with a few warm-up exercises.
Pace: Moderate (you are welcome to start with the group and select your own (faster/slower) pace, too.

Waivers required. (They will be at the parking lot.) Wear: running or light hikers. Bring “shorter” (classic) ski poles.

There has been a suggestion for a 9 am Nordic Walking session on a different weekday. If you would like to take part in a 9 am Nordic Walk, please use this link to suggest which weekday would be best for you.

Walk & Work Dates & Times:
Time: 8 am to 10 am
Dates: Fridays; Oct. 7 & 14
Weekend dates to be added later.
Oct. 7 we will meet at the Troll Trail trailhead, near the giant pile of woodchips in the Red Fox parking lot. We will focus on one section that has a lot of saplings encroaching on the trail. Handsaws will be the most useful tool, plus possibly heavy loppers. Gloves for tossing branches and small trees into the woods.
Waivers required. (They will be at the parking lot.)
