October 6, 2025 - Picture yourself skiing across snow-covered fields, over rivers and lakes, winding through maple forests and rolling hills under a bright winter sun. Your skis glide in steady rhythm along the classic tracks, each pole plant a step closer to something timeless. Welcome to the Canadian Ski Marathon—a celebration of camaraderie, nature, and personal challenge.

Held annually in the Outaouais region, centered near Montebello, Qc, this two-day, 160 km event is North America’s longest and oldest Nordic ski tour. But don’t let the numbers intimidate you – this is a tour/ personal challenge, not a timed race. Skiers of all levels come from all around the world to experience the challenge, camaraderie and breathtaking beauty that define the Canadian Ski Marathon.

Whether you’re a seasoned classic-style skier aiming to conquer all ten sections as a Coureur des Bois skier, a weekend warrior seeking a scenic adventure at your own pace as a tourer, or a new skier looking to try a new and unique adventure as a taster,, the Canadian Ski Marathon offers a category for everyone. Choose your distance, anywhere from one section of 12 km to 160km, enjoy hot soup and snacks at checkpoints prepared by our amazing volunteers, and soak up the warmth of a truly welcoming ski community.

New to cross-country skiing? This is the perfect place to begin your love affair with Nordic touring. Every February, thousands of skiers – families, friends and solo adventurers – gather to share a magical weekend that’s all about heart, personal challenge, and love for the sport and community.
