February 1, 2026 - Nearly 80 K groomed in the last two nights including 40+ last night alone. The snow surface is packed powder, with a softness on the trails groomed last night and a little more polished (not icy, just lacking the velvet of new grooming) on the previous night’s trails. Snow depths are good in most places, especially on the trails that have been groomed from the beginning of the season and on the Ham Snowpark on Wentworth with its machine made snow base.

The Grand Loop for today is the Ellis/Kellogg/Hall loop which is around 23K from the Center; add Maple (groomed the night before) for an easier downhill (heading counter clockwise) and you are in the 25K range. The Upper Village is groomed from Woodchuck to Valley Cross Road and has on-ski access from the Village via Yodel.

Coming up Monday: Skijoring with Jack.
Trail passes are $25/adult. Now is a great time to plan your lessons and snowshoe tours for Sunday (Saturday is booked solid for lessons) and February.

Be aware that there have been active moose at Prospect (and likely other higher elevation trails.) Stay away from moose AND make sure your dog has “good recall” or use a leash in the vicinity of moose. They don’t attack… but they don’t back down either.

You will ski more with a season pass!
