December 5, 2025 - (Lake Placid, NY) The east coast has had Mother Nature on its side for early season snow this year, and we are excited be able to open Scotts Cobble Nordic Center this weekend!

The pro shop for trail passes, ski, snowshoe, sled, and fatbike rentals will be open Friday – Sunday and mid-week as conditions allow until Christmas, then daily operations. Remember that you can ski anytime, and rentals are also available at our store on Main Street in Lake Placid.

Condition updates can be found here along with the ability to purchase daily and season trail passes when the pro shop is closed.

The Scotts Cobble Bar and Cafe will also have regular hours Fri – Sun this winter, and will be led by Chef Joey brining weekly food and drink specials. Stay tuned for additional details and events as the season ramps up.

We also owe a big thanks to the partnership with the Town of North Elbe that allows the community trails at Scotts Cobble Nordic Center to be possible, and free for local residents.
