August 30, 2025 - NYSEF, the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) and NENSA are excited to partner towards bringing a full Lake Placid Fall Rollerski weekend in the Adirondacks!

Saturday, Sept. 20 – Mt. Van Hovenberg Keys to the Castle
Sunday, Sept. 21 – Whiteface Hill Climb

The historic hill-climb up Whiteface Mountain makes for an exciting Sunday offering, presented by NYSEF w/proceeds benefitting the Nordic program. Climb to the top of the Adirondacks as the Fall starts to hit the high peaks!

Length: ~10 k (900m) Long or ~5 k (450m) Short Hill Climb.
Technique: Freestyle + Classic offered.
Start time: 8 A.M. at Whiteface Toll Booth.
Start interval: Mass Start.
Field Restrictions: None. Organizers may split fields into similar speed athletes to facilitate a safe race.
Registration Fee: Details forthcoming.
Course Notes: The hill climb is a moderate to steep terrain, with an average gradient of ~8%. Skiers should be prepared for a change in conditions between the base and summit. Recommended for at least intermediate rollerskiers.
