December 22, 2025 - We’re less than two months away from the 50th Annual North American Vasa, and the excitement is heating up! We’re seeing a chart-topping number of sign-ups, with registrations up over 50% from last year! Space at the starting line is limited; be sure to secure your spot.

What to expect at the 50th Annual Vasa – February 14–15, 2026
50th Anniversary 50K Ski Race – the legendary 50K is back for our 50th Anniversary! We’re remembering our roots and challenging skiers to 50 kilometers of racing.

XC Ski HQ Bigfoot Community Relay – a NEW multi-generational team ski experience. Teams of three, two kids (in two waves, under 12 or 12-19) and an adult, will tackle this exciting relay race. Unique team names and creative costumes are encouraged! Registration is FREE.

Fatbike 25K – celebrate winter on two wheels with a one-lap 25K race on the beautiful Vasa Pathway.

Food Truck & Short’s Brewing Drinks – enjoy warm food, crisp Short’s Brewing Co. beverages, and a bonfire at the start and finish lines in our Celebration Area at Timber Ridge.

Community Celebration & Awards Ceremony  – Celebrate 50 years with us on Saturday, February 14, from 5–8 PM at the Park Place Hotel. Enjoy appetizers, live music, and a cash bar, plus podium recognition for the top 3 male/female overall and age-group winners. Tickets are limited and not sold at the door. Purchase tickets here.

It takes a small army of dedicated volunteers to make Vasa Weekend the community celebration we all look forward to each winter. All volunteers get a FREE Volunteer stocking cap from us as a thank-you! There are plenty of indoor & outdoor volunteer opportunities available!
