March 21, 2024 - (Newfoundland and Labrador) The 2024 Canadian Masters Nordic Ski Championships got underway today at the Menihek Nordic Ski Club amidst superb conditions with 10K Skate event.

Luc Tremblay (Quebec) A. R. Ski Sag-lac racing as a Master 5 (50-54) Male had the fastest time of 29:43.7 followed by Ontario’s Colin Kiviaho (XC Chelsea Masters) Master 4 (45-49) Male with a time of 31:40.6. Not far behind was the fastest woman of the day, local skier Jessica Dahn (NewfoundlandBirch Brook Nordic) Master 1 (30-34) Female, who crossed the line with a time of 33:34.2 to finish third fastest overall.
